Very deep spiritually meaningful book Alice in wonderland with a lot of symbols. Cheshire cat is one of them and always loved it's symbolism.
So I created one, sitting on a large mushroom, as an incense burner. Mushrooms were always a part of any magic, witchy ritual, any transformation. Ace of hearts card has a symbolism of authority, victory, meeting a soul mate. I handbuilt this sculpture from a stoneware clay, meticulously painted all tiny details with underglazes, then glazed most of the sculpture with clear. It's glazed from the inside as well. Fired twice. Three full days of work. And I love how powerful he turn out. Smoke comes out of the eyes, smile, and slightly - windows on mushroom. About 18 cm tall - 7 inches. It's ceramics, please don't drop him! :)
