Baba Yaga, a character of many slavic fairy tales, powerful witch who lives in the old forest in the hut on chicken legs. The hut is able to turn around and walk, it's surrounded with a fence made of human bones and sculls. There are many metaphysical meaning to this witch and her hut. And one of them is a transformation. Baba Yaga kills your old weak self and helps you to transform and get a new spiritual life of Knowledge. The hut is often explained like a portal between worlds. You can find a lot of beautiful and mystical stories about Baba Yaga and her hut. She was my favourite character when I was a kid and stays my favourite. There is entire magic forest on the mug with owls, small forest spirits, fern, massive tree of life, smoke, skulls of those who didn't manage and Baba Yaga herself flying home after work...
This mug is 400 ml, 13.5 oz. Made of stoneware clay, hand built from slab. I painted it with underglazes, scratched out the details, glazed. Glaze fired to cone 6. Then lustre fired with real 12% gold. This mug is one of a kind. Will survive a dishwasher, but strongly recommended to handwash due to gold details.
